Recognition, Malaya, Baskin

Was grand final day with netball today. We lost last week, so we didn't make it in to play but I still umpired today. As I got it National C Badge in umpiring this year, I had to hang around until the presentation at the end of the day to receive my award and the actual little badge (so cute!) but before we got to that part of the ceremony, the unpire conveynor presented an award: *Insert Association Name Here* Service Award for Outstanding Service and Dedication to Netball. It's presented once a year to an umpire who basically has been really involved etc. Why am I telling you this?

BECAUSE I'M THE UMPIRE THAT GOT RECOGNISED !
I pretty much wet myself when she called out my name. An indoor court filled with hundreds of people in dead silence all heard My name and watched Me watch towards the woman with a ready hand to shake. It was incredible.

As a result, along with an end if season celebration, the family went out for dinner. 'A Taste Of Malaya'. Was delicious. Finished off with ice cream from Baskin & Robbins.
ie. a lovely night out with the family :)



And that is me. Fat but happy. Going to go running tomorrow morning as pretty sure I'll be feeling guilty any minute now.

Now watching James Bond on the tv as a family.
